I couldn't not get the money from farming to build my house because it i was not enough, till GiveDirectly came iand i got enrolled for this program. Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was breastfeeding my 2 month old baby when I saw my neighbors yelling one after the other saying, "I see my own, I see my own"! My husband then entered the yard and checked to see ours and there it was. We were very happy and couldn't stop thanking God.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The most part that makes me happy everyday is the fact that I have cash to solve my problems. I am also happy that the leakage problem on my house will be solved and I will sleep sound when it is raining.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I've planned to buy one bundle of zinc to change my roof and I paid my son's school fees as well. I also bought six gallons of gas and paid for workmanship for my coal business. The rest was kept to buy daily meal.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Because of the challenge of the lack of finances to support my family and send my children to school, what I am planning to do with the cash is to firstly use fifty per cent of the cash to pay school fees for my children because school is reopening is nearing and to use the balance fifty per cent to start a business that will yield more profit that I can use to support my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What has brought me happiness and joy for the past six months is in giving birth to my 6 boys children, I wasn't lucky to give birth to a girl child. On September 24, 202I, I had to go through a surgical operation in which God blessed me to give birth to a girl child. This brought me happiness and joy in two ways that my girl child and I survived the surgical operation and also giving birth to my only girl child which I wanted in my life and I feel that my life is complete now.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The current challenges I am faced with is the challenge of no finance to support my children in school and provide support for my family. These challenges came into being when I lost my Mother, sister and Father to the cold hands of death all in one year, which made me to spend all of my cash I had in saving. This situation make me to feel bad and feel left alone on this earth, except with the efforts of my husband who burn charcoal to support the family in many ways. I also feel that I have lost pride as a head of the household.
