What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent on a wardrobe worth 28000 KES and renovated my main house that had turned old-it had cracked and potholes all over and we were afraid it could easily collapse on us. That is how I spent my second transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I like the fact that Give Directly targets the poor, however, I would encourage it to continue and extends the help to other people.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Give Directly has really changed my life; I never knew that one day, I would live in good house that is stronger and secure in our lives like the one we live in now.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I plastered my main house with sand and cement. The house had developed a lot of cracks and potholes and this was really embarrassing me-I was not proud of it at all.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money from Give Directly, I felt overexcited. I had been having a lot of problems and therefore receiving the money would enable me solve them including starting a business, renovating my house and educating my children.

The biggest hardship I have ever faced in my life is being able to comfortably pay school fees for my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is during lunch time when my children are back for their meals because I get to see them and share with them food.

Receiving this money means I will be able to do more things that will be beneficial to my family.
