Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have been planning to buy a sheep for a few months now but every other time I want to, the money gets diverted. My goal is still to buy a sheep to rear. This will be part of the livestock that I rear and can come handy in case of emergencies. It will act as security.

The fact that I am able to meet my daily needs such as food is the biggest difference in my daily life. I am also glad that the transfers helped me top up and buy another cow after the one I previously had developed some skin disease.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
One of my sons just got himself a bride. This means that soon my inlaws will need some bride price and my expectation in the next six months is to have bought another cow that would be part of the dowry for my daughter in law. I would not want them to find me empty-handed or force me to give the few cows that I currently rear.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional plans for the next four months is to add additional livestock in form of goats. I plan to do this by getting assistance from my children with the monthly transfers that I get as well. Goats mature much faster and I know that they will be of great help to me in due time in terms of meeting any financial obligations that may come up anytime anywhere.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life that has occurred to me over the last four months is the cow that I have bought with the money from merry go round contributions that we normally conduct with other household members. I was able to accumulate funds from this merry go round and with those funds, I was able to buy a cow that I am optimistic shall be of great help to me and to my family going forward. I have also been able to improve my place of residence from a grass thatched house to an iron roofed house from these monthly transfers and with the help from my sons who earn some extra income from the casual jobs they are doing.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect my life to change in that I shall have additional livestock that will help me meet financial emergencies. I shall be living a more independent life that will not see me over relying on my sons who have their young families that look up to them as well. This should also mean that my living standards shall have risen above that which I am now living. I feel so much grateful for this transfers.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I am one of the happiest widow ever. Now I am living a better life which I wouldn't imagine I would ever live. I have been empowered by these transfer which I have been receiving from GiveDirecetly to acquire some of the things which I wouldn't afford were it not with the transfer which I receive from this organization. Now I got I cow which I didn't have before and also I have been able to purchase household items which I didn't have initially.

In the next four months, I would like to save my next transfers to buy a goat so that whenever I got a financial need I would sell offspring to pay school fees for my child or even met any other financial need which might arise in the future.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different in that I no longer have to go out for long hours in search of any casual labour to be able to meet most of the needs. I have also been able to get the things I need on credit since I am assured of getting a constant monthly source of income

My additional plans for the next four months is to be able to help my second son to be able to build his new house and be able to lease a land that will enable me practice diversified farming.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now have a more comfortable house to stay in, I sleep well after being a buy a bed and a mattress and I have been able to buy a dairy cow that is going to help us meet most of our family's needs.

The dairy cow that we bought shall help us a lot in meeting the household needs that are at times hard to get due to lack of enough cash. This shall be a thing of the past and will generally improve our standard of living.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Living in a new good looking house is one of the things that have changed my life. I hated seeing my sons shying away from bringing their friends home to visit me. One of my sons recently bought me furniture before the new house as he is benefiting from the transfers. In the next six months, one of my cows will be producing milk. This will empower me as my household wiill meet its needs easily. I lost my husband who was the head of the family that made me struggle alone with the children and it wasn't easy to me to run my family as a single mother yet I had not planned.
