How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to buy a motorbike. When I got my first transfer, I bought cement and other materials to improve my house, and I also paid my children school fees. My plan now is to buy motorbike and put it on traffic to enable me generate more money. I am a farmer and a petty business woman. The motorbike will help to transport my goods. It will reduce the cost of transportation. I will get enough profit from by business as compare to what I used to generate when I was using transportate motorbike. My life will continue to improve as long I have means of generating money for myself. I appreciate GiveDirectly for this transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly is doing extremely well by giving the money to us directly. It does not pass through anyone else. The process is transparent. GD staff talked to me with respect. Frankly speaking, GiveDirectly is doing everything well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my first transfer to improve my house and sent my children to school. My new goal is to buy a motorbike with this transfer. I already have some money to add it to my transfer to enable me buy a new motorbike. I am a petty business women and a farmer. I alway spent more money to bring my goods to my village. The motorbike will help me bring my goods without out spending more money on transportation. I will generate more profit. My market will grow faster, unlike before, I couldn't generate more profit because of the high cost of transportation.
