How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to fix my house that I inherited from my father, I live in this house with my mother who is already old , I believe that when I fix it, it will become more comfortable and beautiful for my family. My family built this house more than 17 years ago and all the materials used to build it at that time is already old and spoiled. I also want to improve my cassava farm so that it can help more to keep supporting my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by being kind and patient with recipients during the time of interview, their help is also unconditional without any strings attached to it. I don't have anything to tell GiveDirectly to change because all their processes are okay to me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I want to buy some building materials for my house project because it has been my dream to see the house fixed and furnished; I will also buy food for my family so that we can have enough to eat.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I receive this cash transfer, I will build a Two bed room house for my family. Currently I live in my father's house along with my other siblings and every time there is a conflict between my siblings and I over ownership. So I think building my own house will bring an end to the conflict with my siblings.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The garden I made at the beginning of this year yielded produce that sustained my family for a period of two months, this brought me joy and happiness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I am currently facing are: I do not have a house on my own to accommodate my family with absolute privacy. Also I do not have time to rest because I go on my farm every day to work.
