Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy to receive these funds from Givedirectly. The day i received my MoMo alert i was so excited knowing i was about to manage most of the things i would not have done on my own
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Hunger was one of the biggest problem and hardship I faced before Givedirectly enrolled me in this programme. But now i have enough food and am very happy
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my money to buy 7 bags of Maize for food. I bought 1 bag of fertilizer, 1 goat and 4 chickens to keep in my home, 3 tins of groundnut seeds, a water dish, plates, a solar panel, a radio and clothes

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means developing my house. This will include buying bricks, build a house with ironsheets. If there will be some money left I will buy kitchen utensils. I was not able to do these things before this program because I do not have any source of income so whatever I cultivate is used for food, nothing else.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last 6 months, the thing that brought the most joy was during an initiation ceremony last month, even today there is another initiation ceremony in the village so that is where I will be. This brings joy because as neighbors they ask us to help them cook so this brings us all together and we sing and dance.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Currently, the biggest challenge I am facing is hunger. Usually, we eat twice a day because it depends on whether there is porridge or not, if there is none we just eat in the afternoon and evening. The times that I personally have tea is when I have gone to visit somebody's house.
