What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am blessed to receive this money, I will like to use the money to pay my children school fees and use the balance of the money to establish a business. I will start a business because, we usually struggle to get money by cutting sticks in the brush and burning them into coal and sell the coal before we get money, and the money can not be enough to get food, pay school fees and take care of other things. So by establishing a business will help me to meet up with our needs and we will not have to go through such hard struggle before getting money.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy because of God's grace and blessing of good health upon my family and I since the beginning of this year. Also what brought joy to me last month was when I heard about Give Directly in the near by community and I was praying and hoping for Give Directly to reach to my village too. Again I am very happy to to see Give Directly in my community today and I am glad to be a beneficiary of Give Directly help they have promised to help us.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Our major challenges are lack of safe drinking water and lack of good road. Our only means of traveling is to cross with planks log over the Poe river. Crossing over the river during the rainy season is very dangerous and risky for us. Because of the river, we are left out of many things that other communities can benefit from government, NGO and other charity organizations. Also because of the river, we don't have safe drinking water and our source of water for drinking, cooking and doing other things is the same Poe river.
