My husband who works as a handyman at a construction site has not been getting work for almost two months now. I work as a shopkeeper. My shop only has a few products like sugar, flour soap, and candies. The business has been on the verge of collapse as a result of low sales during this coronavirus time. The money has brought a big difference in my life and that of my children. I had been experiencing moments of being stressed. I was every time thinking hard about where I was going to get money to pay school fees for my children. They had been severally been sent home on several occasions to go home and pick school fees. I am very happy now that they are back in school.

I have grown up knowing that education is the key to success and a better life. I was not able to continue with my education when I was young due to cultural reasons. My father believed back then that the girl child was not supposed to get educated. The results of not getting educated are now catching up with me. I have no job, I have a family who looks up to me for everything. It is very sad when you are not able to provide fully for your kids especially when it comes to matters of education. When I received the transfer I used it all in paying school fees for my children. I want to change what I went through back then by being able to support my children in their education so that they can have a better future ahead.
