How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has been different in that I own land for agriculture. Previouly, I never had land to cultivate but I'm grateful to God for these unconditional cash transfers that enabled me to have land.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
According to me, GiveDirectly has done well by improving my living standards since I can meet my needs without struggle. On the other hand, GiveDirectly has done nothing bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have not yet started spending my second transfer, but I intend to buy a cow and household goods.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life is better because I have got things which I needed in my house like pair of bed sheets and mattress. Previously I used very old and torn beddings. In addition, being a person who has heart problem. I can access treatment anytime. Before, most of the time I could not.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt very happy. This is because I got such an amount of money which I have never got from any of my relatives.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I loaned out UGX 800,000 of my first transfer to community member and in return, I got land which I will cultivate cassava, maize and others for 3 years. treatment worth UGX 70,000, transport worth UGX 5000, bought household goods (bed, bed sheet, utensils) worth UGX 350,000. There is a balance which the recipient was not sure of the amount.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means, it shall help me build a ironroofed house for my family. This will provide better shelter for my self.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is afternoon especially after getting what to eat. I relax with neighbours .
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is sickness. Iam constantly being attacked by chest problem which denies me doing heavy work.
