How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I have got a companion (wife) after fulfilling the traditional obligation of paying dowry. I'm no longer lonely. Before I married, I used to feel lonely, I had no one to cook for me and farming was difficult being one person. As of now, am doing well.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to sensitize people to spend their transfers in ways that will help develop their families as opposed to doing bad things like killing people. Their work is OK according to me, I have nothing against them.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying a cow at UGX 620,000, rice at UGX 300,000 that I cooked for my in-laws on my marriage day. I spent UGX 200,000 for their transport and the balance for hiring chairs and the music system.
