How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal was to renovate my house and buy more materials for my fishing business .

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to add to my business. I been in this business but there's no sufficient goods, so I intend on buying additional nets to put on the sea so that I will have enough fish to sell and sustain my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly is an organization that focuses on eleviating poverty from we the commoners lives. They are indeed a blessing to lives, I'm so much grateful to God for such an awesome NGO. They have done us well indeed.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on the beach waiting for my brother to come from on sea when my transfer alert pop up. I was very happy. My house is deplorable and I have been suffering to build a new one. I have been living in this house about ten years ago. I have six children. My husband is a fisherman and I dried fishes to sell and sustain us. During raining season, there's no way for my husband to go on sea and fishing. My husband is a daily hired fisherman. We really go through a lot. However, GiveDirectly have come to change our lives.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is peace of mind. I now have money to build my house and send my children to school. I'm also able to solve other problems from the money that I got from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy two bundles of zinc which cost twenty four thousands Liberian Dollars. I also bought one roll of nest for fishing.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The house I am living in presently is very old and breaking town. My plan for the cash transfer is to build a descent house for my family and I. I will also use part of the money to buy canoe and net, because my huse is a fisherman who goes on the sea to catch fish.With the canoe and net, we have enough capital for the fish business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am very happy today because Givedirectly in my community. I believe that if I am successful on this program, with the cash transfer, my children will go to school we will live a better life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major challenge is lack of money. School have opened and my children are not in school because I dont have money to pay my children school fees. The lack of money has also cause us not to have a decent house.
