Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has changed tremendously because I have peaceful nights and I do not over think like i used to due to poverty. My children could sleep on the mats and when there was no money to buy they slept on mosquito nets. When I bought a mattress I handed them the old one I was using and they are so happy.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
First and foremost, I was so happy because I haven't held this amount of money my entire life. I thanked God for this opportunity because not everyone in the village benefited and my body was fully energized and couldn't let anyone lay hands on my phone in fear of losing a phone and money. I used to suffer looking for grass and when the owners of the land find me cutting their grass they chase me therefore I don't get enough grass to thatch my house. During rain season there was no difference between me and the person sleeping under a tree and Sometimes I could sell little I have to buy grass.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my token transfer, I reflected to my standards of living how my children sleep on mats and mosquito net as their mattresses. My children could complain about bed sores every morning they wake up. I decided to buy household items i.e mattress, bed and clothes that took ugx 750000. I having been suffering with a challenge of grass for thatching the house and when I got this transfer I planned on constructing a iron roofed house and I first bought construction materials namely, Bricks, cement and iron sheets at ugx 980000 and when I receive my last transfer I start the construction immediately. I also saved ugx 100000 with my mother in a form of a loan which will pay back. I got for my child an admission to school which I paid ugx 20000. Feeding was a challenge too in my household and I used ugx 210000.
