Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very excited because I had never held such an a mount of unconditional cash transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that, I have acquired more mattresses. My children now sleep comfortably as opposed to when they slept on hard mats. In addition, I also own a cow which I am rearing for milk production.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought household goods( two mattresses, a blanket and a pair of bedsheets) worth UGX 270,000, a cow worth UGX 1,100,000 and food worth UGX 330,000.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means owning oxen to enable ploughing. This will improve on food security at my household.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the noon time after eating lunch. My children are always happy after lunch because we do not have enough food for the household.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face in my household is inadequate food. I do not own oxen to enable early planting planting weeding which could lead to high yields. My household bits food year in year out which is not sustainable.
