My new goal is to save enough money for school fees for my two children. One of my daughters is joining high school over the coming year and I want to be in position to meet all her requirements when that time comes.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I no longer overwork myself as I used to before. We were able to lump our transfers with that of my spouse and paid the pending school fees for my children. Before these, I had to really work in people's farms for long hours in order to try and meet both my family's needs and my children's school fees. I am glad that the transfers from GiveDirectly have taken some of these burdens off my back and only work just enough to help me supplement what I get.

My expectation in the near future is have the ability to educate my children by paying their school fees. I will have two children next year in secondary school and it is quite a daunting job to pay these school fees and I hope I will be a position to meet this. I do not want to have my children sent from school for fee arrears. I really hope that by doing this, I will allow my children to have ample time to study and make a good life out of it. As a parent, I pray for the best for my children.

Currently, I do not struggle much to support my children in school. After Give Directly started giving me the transfers I started thinking of how to expand my source of income. This helped me meet most of my needs. Some of which I don't think I would have managed to do without their help.

I will buy sheep which I believe will help me take my daughter to school. By the time my daughter reaches high school the sheep will have grown and multiplied. I plan to resell them when my daughter will join high school. This will lessen the pressure in case I will not be having a stable source of income.

For the last four months, I have been able to take my son to school without him being sent back home. Were it not for GiveDirectly I don't think I would have managed to cater for our needs considering I was sick and I didn't have a stable job. I had been struggling a lot to see him through high school. I think he would have dropped out of school by now. I feel happy and proud of my self for having not failed him.

I do not have any plans at the moment. My main goals are to ensure my children get quality education and they don't get distracted in school. I do not want them to stay out of class due to lack of fees. I have a feeling that if I start other projects then I might affect my ability to school them.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that these transfers have enabled me to buy adequate farm inputs and plant seeds on time unlike before where I used to struggle to get farm inputs and used to plant late.

I expect to have completed construction of my house and work hard to pay school fees for my son who will be paying school fees next month.

The new goals that have developed since I started receiving the transfer are having a new house and buying a cow.

My life is currently different from how it would have been if I had never received the transfer in that I go for less casual job which has made me more relaxed.The transfer has given me support in terms of providing basic needs for my family which I couldn't provide fully if I had not received the transfer.I currently have hope of good changes coming in my family.

In the next six months I expect to either have bought a cow or have completed a new house.I expect my family to be having enough food and the family basic needs will be more met than currently.

The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving the transfer is that I am now assured of enough food for my family since I didn't sell my maize products like I would have if I had not received the transfer.Currently, I do more of my own work than going for casual jobs as I used to do before hence I am not over worked like before.I see the transfer as my stepping stone in my life and this give me happiness in my life.
