How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Jack before GD came, I planned on increasing my cocoa farm to a very big one but could not be realized that due to lock of funding. My entire life I wanted to plant cocoa around 5 to 10 acre but there was no enough money. It was an opportunity when I was enrolled as a recipient on the GD program and received my first and second transfers. With the first and second transfers, I was able to buy additional land to extend my cocoa farm.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
As a volunteer teacher who realizes on farming and garden to survive, I have planned to build a house and invest in my children education as well as in coacoa farming. I graduated from Karweaken high school in 2017 and subsequently returned to our home in Yargbeken to teach as a volunteer. I have absolutely no foundation to start from because my parents are poor . I should have extended my education if my father would has had the means to support me . The reason I have vowed to establish a means of accumulating finance to support my many plans .
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am so happy the fact I am contributing to my home in terms of educating the little children. Our School system is so bad that the children are learning sub-standard materials. I appealed to my fellow volunteer teachers for to end this academic school year and they consented to my appeal; condition that brought joy and happiness to me up to now the fact the children will continue their schooling.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Being a volunteer teacher in a remoted location is a challenge. My home is a delapetated structure and it is almost in a state of collapse because of the lack of money. I have to move to my father house for refuge since the condition of my house began worse. It is frustrating to graduate from high school and return home without extending your education. I have to do so because I have absolutely no means to gather resources to push me forward . My main challenge as of now is the lack of accumulating finance to build a and when I am opportune to receive the unconditional cash transfer from GiveDirectly, I will definitely use it to construct myself a house .
