Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was brushing my farm when I heard the alert on my phone. I picked the phone and discovered that GiveDirectly had sent my money. I was so happy, I hurriedly called my husband and told him that give directly sent our money. He immediately left the work he was doing and came in town and celebrated with me. I am still thanking God for the money from give directly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Things have been so different for me after I started receiving GiveDirectly money. Before, I was engaged with farming which produced very little for me and my family to feed. I feel very happy each day knowing that I am about to own a house which has been my dream; because where I live with my children is not in good condition. Having this as an accomplished goal has brought long lasting joy to me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc and 35 pieces of planks to build my house. I also bought few food items for my home.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
What I plan to do with my cash transfer are, firstly, I will like to put my children to school, because I know that education pays, when the children are educated, they can be able to help you tomorrow; secondly, I will like to build a zinc house, the thatched house that I'm currently in isn't in good condition, I need somewhere good for I and my family to lie our heads.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What had brought me happiness in the last six months is, for the fact that I have been waking up and seeing my children in good health, even myself and their father, brought me joy, there are others who been in tears of late, but God was faithful to spare my family's life to this far, it sparks up joy in my heart.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Those challenges I'm currently faced with are, firstly, the support for my children to go to school; secondly, to raise money and build my zinc house, most often the produce from the rice farm we have made can not really be enough to support the children in school and carry on a building project simultaneously; things are so hard these days. Sometimes the birds waste our efforts by eating the rice seeds, which can cause us to lose most times.
