How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now because I have constructed an iron roofed house. I also now own clothes. Previously, I borrowed my sister's clothes and slept in grass thatched house which was not in a good condition.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well to follow us up to find out how we spent the transfers. There is nothing they are doing bad.

I spent my second transfer for buying iron sheets, timber, nails, door, window, cement that I used for completing the construction of my house. I also paid UGX 400,000 for labor.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that, my standard of living has improved because I have been able to meet most of my basic needs.

Receiving this money means being able to complete my 'O' Level education and repairing the house I reside in.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I interact with my friends and they encourage me.

My biggest hardship is inability to pay school fees. I am struggling to pay my own school fees and currently dropped out of school.
