Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Before receiving the cash transfers, I had many future plans that had stalled due to lack of finance. I have a large family that depends entirely on me for support. We did not have enough farm lands, however I was able to hire a piece of fertile farm land. In addition to this, I purchased cow peas that I intend to plant when the rainy season begins.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
At that moment I felt relieved and happy becaus emy prayers had been answered. I was struggling financially .
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the cash transfer to hire a piece of land worth UGX300000 and UGX550000 to purchase cow peas seeds. I spent UGX160000 to clear fees debt of my son and UGX50000 to purchase clothes. I bought a pig worth UGX180000. I saved UGX360000 and the remaining cash transfer was spent on food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receivibg this money means building a Permanent house that will improve on our living Standard. We are sleeping in a grass thatched house which is leaky and renovating it is very expensive. Besides, it is not spacious enough hence making it uncomfortable. Incase of any balance, I will hire land for crop cultivation in order to improve on food security. I do not have enough food due to inadequate land for cultivation, this income got through farming can enable me to purchase oxen in order to simplify ploughing land.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I have gone to the centre to meet friends, that refreshes me. It's the time when I feel I am free and I socialize in order to get useful information that will update me on any developments within te village.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is I do not own oxen of my own that would facilitate early ploughing and planying of crops. I hire oxen which makes it costly in terms of farming and yet agricultural poduce faces elastic demand due to changes in seasons and output. This makes farming scary and challenging hence food shortage and low income.
