How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, when my mother was sick, I was dissolution and thought that she could die should I failed to get money required in the hospital. When money was sent to me, the first thing I did was to pray to God for the miracle GD has done. Right now, mum has fully recovered and now very healthy to do her own thing as usual.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly gave poor people opportunity to come up economically, the organization has also given us capacity to own the items of our choice. People have properly utilized the transfer in a perfect way to change their lives. The organization should make the program a continuation process for maximum outcome.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the second transfer on medication, building materials, and food. My mother was sick and was admitted in the hospital, and there was nowhere to raise money for the medical bill. I used the transfer received and I am very happy that my mother has fully recovered and she is now well. I build a cooking house to a void smoke that used to spoil my items in the main hose. My house is now clean and perfect.

I spent my transfer on buying building materials such as iron sheets, timber, nails, sand and cement which I used in building a new house and the rest on boosting my already existing business by adding more stock.

Receiving this money means that I am going to be able to plaster my house and use the second Givedirectly transfer in building a new kitchen, these are money consuming projects which I could not do after losing my husband two years ago.

The biggest hardship I am faced with is sickness since I have to spend most of the time attending clinics and buging expensivs drugs prescribed by the doctors, I have ended up using most of my savings and my stock is currently low. I am yet to fully recover from sickness.
