What does receiving this money mean to you?
The money will meant building a new house because I am staying in the house belonged to my Son who is in South Africa. I was married to late Village head Mwatakata 2. Before his passing we had plans to build a house in my home village but the plan never pass due to his sickness. On monthly basis I made about K4000 on average per month from the sale of my farm produce. The money is used to buy food and other basic items.
What is the happiest part of your day?
To be honest for the past 6 months there was nothing that bought me joy or happiness as life was very challenging to find food. I did not harvest enough food so most of my days are spent on the farm.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge that am currently facing is loneliness. The passing of my husband left a big gap in the family. At the moment I am a mother and a father and it's very difficult to provide for my children both financially or basic needs.
