How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I had no piece of mind before the transfer and I started living a peaceful life after receiving my transfer. I am now a happy person. I am also confident that my produce will be greater than before because all farm inputs are ready. I am planning to sell my produce after harvesting. My sleeping place was also a mess, the transfer enabled me to buy better beddings such that I am sleeping on a comfortable place now.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I have never seen a generous organisation as GD. GD has done so well by providing cash transfers to several households. I also had a chance to get a phone.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving my first transfer, my main focus was to do something in relation to agriculture. I bought 2 bags of fertilizer. I also bought 4 bags of pesticides. I also bought 2 bags of groundnuts seedling. I lso used the money to rent 2 acres of farming land. I have covered all inputs required for this growing season. I also bought beddings such that my sleeping place is now comfortable.
