How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than if I had never reeived cash transfers in that my economic base has been boosted and I own now two bulls that I use for ploughing and a cow for milk production and when it produces, the off springs can be sold to meet family needs.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done so well in selecting the most vulnerable people and supporting them with unconditional cash transfers. I do not see what they have not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I bought a cow worth 805,000ugx to act as an Income generating activity. I also bought for my son beddings worth 100,000ugx (a mattress, bedsheets and curtains). I bought an ox plough including servicing it worth 471,000ugx, the balance of 257,000ugx, I used for treatment, feeding and I bought two piglets in order to add on my info generating activities for the household.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy two bulls, two mattresses, and paid school fees for the children.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i recieved the money, i was so happy that even up to now, i just feel joy in my self.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is peace of mind. I nolonger experience the kind of stress that used to occupy my head.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship which always disturbs me in my family is poverty since the late died am always moving up and down to see that my children have daily bread.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is evening ,when am sitten with my children .when they tell stories and some time they swicth on the radio, then they start dancing it makes me very happy .
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is means of helping me to buy oxgyen since when my husband died the relative sold all the cattle for trying to treat him .so right now we don't have oxygen for ploughing.
