How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The difference in my life were it not for the money which I received from GiveDirectly is that my children had not been sent home for school fees since I was able to pay their school for the whole year. Before they would spend most of their time at home since I couldn't afford to pay their school fees. Again I built a house which is more spacious than the one which we had. All this was made possible with the aid which I received from GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly is one of the rare organizations I have ever know. Their operations are so good right from Barraza, census, registration and disbursement of the cash. it is one of the organizations which deliver to their promise.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
The second transfer which I received from GiveDirectly, I spent part of it to purchase building materials for building a new house. Before we had a smaller house which was grass touched house which was almost collapsing. I spent the other portion, I spent to buy a dairy goat. This has saved us from the costly daily expenditure of buying milk which we used to spend. The remaining amount I spend on paying school fees for my children.
