What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought land since we have been living in a small portion of land and have nowhere to farm. I and my spouse decided to acquire farm land and we paid ugx 1600000. The remaining 33000 I bought food for the household.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well because I have used the transfers sent to me buy land for farming. Before I got this cash I used to hire farm land and it was very expensive to meet the price. I Thanks GiveDirectly for liberating me from poverty. In my community most recipients have built houses. GiveDirectly is an honest organization in that, They don't cheat their recipients unlike other organizations which could have deducted the money from beneficiaries. In my opinion GiveDirectly should give everyone in the village transfers as long as they meet eligibility criteria to promote peace and harmony amongst community members.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now in that, I have a peace of mind because I have acquired farm land which will enable me farm on time and therefore improve my harvest.Prior to receiving this cash from GiveDirectly, I used to over think a lot where to farm since I did not have enough land. This stress caused me ulcers.
