Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life has improved because through this cash transfer, I bought a tailoring machine which is giving me daily income for supporting my family with basic needs. Secondly, I also secured a plot of land and I plan to set up my home there since my marriage failed. If it was not for this aid, I wouldn't have managed to acquire all this. Thanks to GiveDirectly for the unconditional cash transfer.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I purchased a tailoring machine worth UGX 320,000, household goods/clothes (and mattress and apair of bedsheet) worth UGX 200,000, two goats and hens worth UGX 100,000 deposited for a plot of land worth UGX 1,000,000. Recipient could not remember all items bought.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy a piece of land that I can sattle with my children since their father has rejected me. Where I currently stay is my brother's home and staying with a relative is not an easy thing especially now that my marriage failed.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the noon time when I have been able to provide food for my family. I am happy when my children are satisified.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is taking care of my children alone as a single parent. I do casual labour most of the time just to be sure that atleast we have a meal.
