How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
There is a difference in my life, I now eat thrice a day and on time because I stocked some food in the house. I also sleep in my newly constructed iron roofed house and on a good mattress. Before, I was sleeping in a grass thatched house with a leaking roof and on a very old mattress. Food was gold, I cold have only one meal in a day.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to sensitize us about the program and asked people to spend their transfers peacefully. There is nothing they have done bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer for buying a cow at UGX 445,000, construction materials (door, windows, sand and cement) at UGX 570,000. I saved UGX 450,000, paid for labor UGX 100,000. The balance of the money was spent on food.
