How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I want my children to get the best education so, I hope to become a successful farmer to give them the support that they need.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has helped to transform our lives. The cash received from Givedirectly has helped some of us to send our children to school and build. We couldn't do these things few years ago.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I couldn't afford to send my children to school therefore, when I received this transfer, I spent some to pay my children school fees. I also used some to purchase ten bags of cement to plaster my house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I woke up earlier in the morning I want to use the bathroom when I came back I heard the message alert on my phone I hurriedly picked up the phone and check, I saw the money givedirectly promise to me. I was so excited I started singing and dancing telling God thank you for blessing my life through givedirectly. I am an illiterate woman with eight children catering for them is very challenging I have gone digging cassava to sell before buying food for the family and also used a portion of the sale to send them to school.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive this money from GiveDirectly I will use a portion of the money to support the children in school and use the balance to build a zinc house which has been my plan for a long time. My husband and I are engaged in farming activities for the past 22 years now as means to maintain the family. The money we earn from proceeds we use some to pay the children's tuition and use the balance to cater for other needs of the family. The house my family and I live in is a thatched house, it leaks so badly and damaged most of your belongings. At times when the rain is falling heavily, we can't even sleep in our own home, we have to sleep in my husband's brother's house just to pass the night. I feel so bad living this kind of life. I will appreciate any help from GiveDirecrly to improve my livelihood.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, I have not experienced any joy or happiness because my father got seriously ill in July 2022 we take him to the hospital and spent all our money to pay his hospital bills unfortunately, he died on the 12th of August 2022 since then I have not had any joy or happiness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing now is a lack of money. I want to build a house with a zinc roof but I don't have enough money. Even though my husband and I are engaged in farming activities as means to maintain the family, the money we earn from the pepper and cassava farm at the time yearly is 20,000 Liberian dollars. We use a portion of it to pay the children's tuition and use the balance to cater for other needs. The house my family and I live in is a thatched house, it leaks so badly and damaged most of your belongings when there's a heavy down pull of rain. At times when the rain is falling heavily, we can't even sleep in our own home, we have to sleep in my husband's brother's house just to pass the night. I feel so bad living this kind of life. I will appreciate any help from GiveDirecrly to improve my livelihood.
