Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"I was in the town and people were dancing that they have received money from GiveDirectly. I was thinking what was happening mine has not come. I left from the crowd feeling bad that mine transfer has not come. While on my way home, I got a message alert on my phone. I thought it was Lonestar MTN with some of their regular message. I said to myself "Lonestar do try me oooooo". When I checked it was a gift of 35625LD from GiveDirectly. I was so happy that immediately I got hime I called my wife who is visiting her parents s soon as I vot the money I said this money is for my family. She told me to withdraw the money because we are hearing rumours that when you keep the money in the phone for long GiveDirectly will withdraw it from the phone. I depend on fishing and I am just returning from the river bank. My wife and I decided to pay our children's school fees and save the balance money to improve our house".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
"To be true with you this money has made a lot of difference in my family's life. I have paid my debt, paid my children school fees and give my wife money to buy what she wants. Most importantly I am about to leave this old house, all because of GiveDirectly". I was never thinking about giving money to my wife but GiveDirectly made it possible".
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
"I sent some money to my wife something I have not done for long; paid back the money I borrowed from the saving club amd paid our children's school fees. The balance money is saved until my wife returns. I know bu this time the second transfer will be here, then we will start our house project".

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan for this transfer is to pay my kids school fees and use portion of it to complete my house. As you can see, the house is leaking and it doesn't have doors.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The joyful thing is that with all of the hardship, we are alive. Besides, the present of GD is my greatest joy. Because I'm sure my life will change with their intervention.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge I'm faced with is money. I do not have money to improve my life. I need money to pay my kids school fees up to now my children have registered yet.
