Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"On October 21, 2022 I.was on my way to the hand pump to fetch water. Right within that moment, my friends and other neighbours started jubilating because according to them they have received money from GiveDirectly. I quickly ran back for my phone and look my money was there in my phone. I joined the jubilant community members, singing praises to GiveDirectly. I was so happy and excited because this kind of thing has never happened to me before. My husband and I are farmers and our children are schooling in Monrovia. Every time they are calling for money. This was really a cause of worry for me. The excitement of receiving this money made me not to.think about anything immediately. It was in the night that my husband and I discussed and decided on what to do with this first transfer".

"This money had made a lot of difference. We have paid our children school fees and we are now preparing to start our new house. We were not thinking about this right now due to the hardship. GiveDirectly your too much".

"Immediately upon receiving our first transfer frpm GiveDirectly, the happiness caused me not to think rigjt away. While in bed at night my husband and I decided to pay my children school fees which we did. Presently we are now brushing the site we have to construction work on our new house".

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I get this money I would firstly want to build a 3 bed room house, take portion of the money and invest into business. I also have my children in Monrovia that I want to help to pay their school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Because of lack of money, I never had farm. But from my little sales from the soap I sell, I was able to get money to pay people and make cassava farm this year. That's the joyful thing for me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major challenge is money. Because I need money to make farm, improve my business and to support my children. My kids are in school and don't have any means of supporting them.
