Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I intend to save money to buy a heifer. Why heifer? well, one because it's affordable and I can save to purchase it. I can also patiently look after it to ensure it matures to the level of producing milk.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months, I have to admit that life has been so good to me and my family thanks to GD. Before the transfers were sent we used to struggle to put food on our table and occasionally we slept without food. But now, the narrative has changed, we manage to have all the three meals in a day and this past December holiday we did celebrate by purchasing a few shopping items thanks to GD's transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I am hoping to solve the crisis of lacking enough food for the household. I am hoping that my maize plantation will be ready for a bumper harvest because I did use hybrid seeds. I am also looking forward to harvesting milk from my cow for both household consumption and sale.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
When I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly I enrolled for a plumbing course. This was my dream course but I couldn't pursue it because I was not able to raise the fee for enrolling in college. I'm glad since then I haven't faced any challenges in raising the fee because I have been paying for my fee on time with the GD transfers. I'm yet to graduate and I'm hopeful that I'll secure a better job which will enable me to improve my living standards. In addition, my sister who is in secondary school has improved in her grades. This is because I have been able to pay for her fees on time with the GD transfers. She hasn't been sent back home for school fees as it was the case previously thus she has been able to get enough time for her studies. This is how different my life from the way it was four months ago.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
For the next four months, I have an additional goal to save the coming transfers and add to the little income I earn from the casual work which I usually do and later construct a house. Currently, I sleep in a neighbors house because I do not have a house. This is inconveniencing in some cases especially when it rains at night which forces me to walk in the rain. In addition, whenever the neighbour has vistors I'm forced to look for an alternative place for sleeping. Besides, it's not safe walking at night but I usually risk because I do not have a choice. Constructing my house will save me from all these challenges and I'll be more independent.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the pride and peace I feel. This is because I was able to use the transfers to pay for my sister's school fee on time and I'm glad she is currently in school for her studies. Previously, she could spend most of her time at home because we couldn't afford her fee. This resulted in her poor performance, she got demoralized and she almost lost hope in life. I didn't have a reliable source of income instead, I relied on casual work and the little I earned could barely meet our basic needs. Thanks to GD for coming to our rescue. I'm hopeful that she'll have a better future.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Currently, I do not have a house instead I usually sleep in my neighbor's house. I'm planning to save the coming transfers and use them to construct a house. Therefore, in the next six months, I'm hopeful that I'll have constructed a house.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different in that I am creditworthy. This is because people can trust me with their money knowing that I can be able to pay them back even on a monthly basis. This was not the case before as I could not get anyone to trust me with even the smallest amount of loans. This has therefore allowed me to engage in other income generating activities that I was unable to engage in before I got the GiveDirectly transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am looking forward to having joined college within the next four months. I am currently saving as much money from the GiveDirectly transfers and in the next four months I will have saved enough to enable me join college.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I cleared my form four last year but with huge fee balances. After the results were out, I was not allowed to take my certificate from school. This meant that I could not further my studies like I had hoped to do after clearing form four.Over the last four months I have been able to save my transfers and this has allowed me to clear the fee balance and be allowed to take my certificate from school. My mind is now set to join college any time soon. This, I plan to do by continuing to save the transfers that I get from GiveDirectly to be able to pay my college fee.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I shall have joined college and this will be a great step towards changing my life. Completing the course that I have always desired to, shall bring me a great sense of satisfaction. Getting the skills shall have equally empowered me to be competitive in the employment industry. I am also optimistic that I will get a job after completing the plant operator course and by so doing I shall have been empowered to get my own money and have a descent life. My success shall be attributed by a great extent to the transfers that I received from GiveDirecctly.
