How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that I was able to pay a dowry for my wife. I got married three years ago and due to low income from casual work, I was not able to raise money to buy cows to go pay dowry. Things were getting out of hand because my in-laws had started asking about the same. When I received my transfers, I was able to buy cows which I used to pay a dowry for my wife. I feel at peace because I did not lose my in-law's respect.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to paying school fees for my brother's son whose parents passed on two years ago. I was the only close relative he had and so I took him. I would want to give him what his parents would have given him.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been having plans of building a new house in my own compound for the last two years. I have not been able to build a new house due to my low income from casual work. I had tried saving and in most cases, I would use the savings on other family emergencies. I had resolved in putting up a grass thatched house since time was fast moving. When I received the transfers, I was very happy and decided to buy building materials such as iron sheets, timber, and nails which I used to put up a new house. Thanks to GD.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I would like to pay school fees for my brother's son whom I have been taking care of. I would want to give him the best which his parents would have given. I would want to make my brother proud because I know when the son is done with his studies, he will get a good job and take care of me.
