How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now because I have paid tuition for my child to do a nursing course. I have also constructed an iron roofed house for my family. If I had not received the transfer, my daughter would have not gone to school. I used not to sleep well because of the leaking roofs in my home that would wet the beddings and the food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give me unconditional cash directly, nothing has gone wrong with the way they operate.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 1,500,000 of my second transfer for paying my child's tuition who is pursuing a course in nursing. The balance of the transfer, I spent on purchase of food and a pair of bed sheets.
