How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Had I not received the cash transfers, I would be struggling to feed and take care of my family. Life was very stressful without money to buy basic needs and food. My life is different now because I can purchase basic needs and food for my family and this has improved the nutrition of my children.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to help the very poor and vulnerable people by giving them money that has supported them. On the other hand there is no wrong that GiveDirectly has committed.

I spent my second transfer to purchase UGX400,000 to pay an old loan and UGX260,000. I spent UGX45,000 on purchasing school informs. I bought household items worth UGX291,000. However UGX300,000 was stolen from home and the balance of the cash transfer was spent on buying food.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that my life is better because that retail dry fish business I started supports my family's daily necessities hence giving me a Peace of mind.

Receiving this money means restoring back my agricultural gardens which I hired out when I was very ill and operated two years a go.

The biggest hardship is lack of oxen for ploughing. So I keep borrowing and this causes delay in planting
