What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We struggle to get what to eat because we only have one small land and to be able to produce enough for our family we have to rent another land to cultivate. Another challenge we are facing is not having enough money to use in our daily expenses , the little we have we get it from working for others.
What is the happiest part of your day?
We have a sheep that we have been herding for others for 2 years and we are very thankful that it has recently produced a lamb and the lamb immediately become our own and we plan to sell it in the future and be able to get money to buy a land. Another source of happiness in this days is that we have been able to have our young daughter Clemence baptised recently and this was a very happy and memorable day.
What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
The first installment we are planning to buy livestock, we will buy a pig for $120 and a goat for $50 and the balance from the first installment we plan to renovate our house and buy food , clothes , furniture and other materials we need in the house. The second installment we plan to buy a cow for $300 and the balance we will finish our house renovation and buy ourselves our own land. Receiving this money will help us come out of poverty by giving us an opportunity to have enough livestocks to give us fertiliser and sell in the future in case we need money; for instance when we need to pay for medical insurance we usually sell our cattle and be able to get that money. And being able to receive this money will also give us an opportunity to live in good and proper house for our family.
