How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I have managed to build my permanent house that I will move in and it will shield me from the rain unlike the one I am using at the moment that leaks.
Completing to build my commercial house as well will help me develop greatly. Unlike before when earning money was a problem where I could work in other people's gardens, this house will help because I will rent it off and generate income that I will use for other needs like hiring more farm lands for extensive food production, education for children, feeding among others.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by bringing a smile to people's faces by giving them unconditional transfers. To me, it has enabled me to uplift my standard of living through the completion of my commercial house that will generate income to cater for my family needs such as food, clothing, medication, education for children among others by either putting a business in it or renting it out. I am also completing construction of my house in my home.
On the other hand, GiveDirectly has genuinely done well throughout.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer Ugx 300000 buying more building materials such as iron sheets, nails, and timber that I used to complete building my commercial house in chodong trading centre.
Then I used Ugx 969000 buy building materials such as iron sheets, cement, ventilation, sand, timber and paying labor that I used to build a house in my home.
I used the balance of my second transfer to buy some household items such as clothes, utensils, and food to feed my family.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, my standard of living has greatly improved because I feed well hence I'm living each day much more happier than before.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to build ironroofed house and buy a cow that shall provide milk. My family will be sleeping in a better commodation while enjoying milk.
