How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I thank Give Directly for having relieved me out of some burdens in my life, majorly school fees. I also use part of my transfer to buy a few foodstuffs for my family whenever we lack something to eat. I am staying happy together with my family because my children no longer sent home for fee balance since I pay their fee on time. I am proud to say this is the current positive chane in my life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new or additional goals for my life for the next four months is to pay the school fee for my school-going children. As much as I would wish to focus on other developments that I have in mind, my first priority is to make sure that my children have a humble time in school and I can assure them this by paying their fees on time so that they are not sent home. I personally believe that education is the key to success, I have confidence that if I am able to pay fees as I would wish to do, then automatically my children are going to excel in school because they are bright and they have enough time to concentrate on classwork.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I bought sunking solar for lightening. I have been buying paraffin for a very long period of time, this has been a difficult journey since at times I lack money to buy paraffin and we end up staying in the dark. Since I have school-going children, they need to do homework daily with proper lighting. They normally consume a lot because they stay for long hours while studying. At times when I have no money to buy paraffin, my children were forced to wake up very early in the morning so that they can do their homework in school before they start their lessons which is very hectic for them. I thank Give Directly because this problem has been permanently solved and I no longer buy paraffin. I am really happy for this transformation from analog to digital.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I have a plan of buying a cow, in fact, I do save part of my transfers from Give Directly towards the project. The little I get from casual work, part of it I spend on food and the remaining amount I save towards the project. The reason why I thought of a cow is that our weather is favorable for livestock keeping and they are manageable. I also wanted to start cattle rearing because it will give me milk both for domestic and commercial purposes.

I have a good house apart from the house I had before, I can eat a balanced diet and there is less cases of malnutrition as it was before. Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have planned that for 16 months remaining, I want to start sheep rearing project for future economic stability. My children are still young and have not reached secondary. By the time they shall have reached Secondary school, it will find that the sheep have multiplied are for the market.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life are likely to be two, one, I have a iron roofed house while initially, I had a grass thatched house. I could not thought of anything of that kind. People used to mock me because when it rained, it was like an open ground without shelter. Thanks to GiveDirectly for the program that has opened a way for a new house. Secondly, we used to miss our meals due to inadequate resources, my children were malnourished and two years ago, I lost a child because of the same. Now we can afford a complete balanced diet meals as the body required for development and growth of my children. The money I used to pay hospital bill for my sick children, I have topped up to start poultry project.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
By starting my sheep project, I believe it will sustain my life and the life of my family. I plan to dispose the animals after they shall have multiplied to raised money for my children's education.
