How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't have any new goals, Since I'm still working on building a Big and comfortable house that can accommodate my family. The house we live in is two bedrooms and it had been in a very deplorable state. The roof is made entirely with thatches, during raining season my kids suffer from wetness and too much cold resulting from the leakages. Since I'm a single parent, with three kids to look after, Building a decent house has been a serious challenge for me, because I have no one to help me. when I started receiving transferred funds from GiveDirectly I decided to start building my new house and support my kids in school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I don't really know what GiveDirectly is doing wrong but in my opinion I think GiveDirectly should continue to help poor people.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My life to say the least has been so challenging since the time my husband died and left me with three kids. Providing their basic needs hasbeen so difficult, Also our house has been in a very deplorable condition and my prayer hasbeen to build a better shelter that can keep us warm and safe during wet seasons. So,When I received my most recent transfer from GiveDirectly I used portion of it to purchased additional three bundles of roofing sheets and paid my kids balance tuitions.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very excited when I received my first transfer. I lived in a hut made of thatch roof. My dream has been to construct a block or concrete building. I couldn't accomplish my dream due to lack of money. My plan came to reality when I received my first transfer. I felt that my family will live in modern house in a short distance future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The difference is that the transfer has changed my living conditions. Now, I find myself leaving from a thatch house to a modern house. This has been my dream over the years.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my first transfer to buy zinc and mold blocks for my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am married and living in this town with my family but I don't have a very good house to show as a born citizen of this town, every where I travel out of my town I see my friends with good and big house/ houses. I feel very proud of them. I came back and said to my self I must build house for my children before I pass. So my first plan on my mind is to build a very big house and good for living. In this light my children will not suffer when they are all grown up. They will experience a life in a good house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest of all the news in the past months is this recent one today. Every body love good things ,I am happy that I have been visited by Give Directly. I thought that I was forgetting by God;but today, He remember me .I am so happy my daughter and you won't understand how grateful I am today.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I share this plan with my husband but he always say Mama this is very good but you know we don't have money here. My family challenge is money. If I had money ever since I am done with this house issue. So I am hoping that this news be true then my challenge I am faced with will be over.I will do exactly what I promise my family to build them a very big house. With this my children will be proud in this town that thier mother promise and fulfil.
