How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My currently diferent from the way it was four months ag in that I'm now stable emotionally and I'm not worried because I now have a home thta we boiught with our own cash. We are now at peace and there no quarrels with my in-laws because of land.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal of starting up a business so that I can have a source of income. Previously I used to do farm but since we were sent out of that place we had to buy a land far from the place which has disorganised me and to add on it the current piece of land is too small .
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the transfers is that I'm now happy and I feel at peace I managed to get apiece of land and a home to settle on after we were sent out of the place we had constructed our home. If it wasn't for GD, we would be having a lot of debts.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have started a business so that I can be independent.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The relief we have as a family is so big after we received the money from GiveDirectly. We are so at ease at the moment as we will settle in our own land.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months,I expect my life to change for the better with my business having picked up.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My current life is different in that we have not been able to fabricate the steel doors ,instead we could have gone back to friends to solicit.

I am planning to start a small business after settling in my own parcel of land.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of enough money to educate my other children. If I am unable to raise the required fees they may have to defer their studies.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon after finishing all my chores. I usually relax with my neighbours and the stories we narrate to one another are very funny and make me feel very happy.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to save the transfers and together with my own savings eventually buy a milling machine which I will set up near my home. I will then be able to grind various cereals for my neighbours and earn some money.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having worked as a house help. I was able to save my earnings and eventually used the money to educate my son who finished his secondary school education in 2013.
