How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now in that I am stress free and free from worries compared to the past when life was really hard. I have also acquired property that I never had before in my life. In a nutshell had I not received these transfers, my life would have been in turmoil.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly did well to send cash transfers that have united most families and this has strengthened the family ties. However give directly needs to address the issue of eligible peope who are terminated from the program.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase two cows and I also paid my outstanding debts.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent 1,500,000 ugx to buy two bulls and one cow. The balance I am spending it on feeding myself and other basic needs.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I received a mobile money message early in the morning. I called out my spouse and informed her about the money. That was the happiest moment of my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
In the past my whole life was terrible. I was ill and unhappy. However there is a big difference in that I am now happy and healthy. I nolonger feel depressed like I used to be. There is a bright future ahead for my household.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship which i face is lack of oxgyen for cultivation, money for paying school fees and sometimes no money for paying medical bills
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is alway day time after having launch, because it makes me know that the day has gone well.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is going to help me to buy more land for my family , oxygen, paying school fees for my children and the balance for paying medical bills.
