How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than if I had not received cash transfers in that, my standard of living has improved. Before, I used to do daily casual labour in order to make ends meet.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done well through empowering the rural poor with unconditional cash transfers which we have used to boost our livilihoods. I do not see what Give Directly has not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my cash transfer for paying a debt of UGX 800,000, I bought a bull of UGX 400,000 to add on the one I had already bought with the first cash transfer. I bought a bicycle to help in fetching water, to be used for family transport at UGX 250,000 and I bought a goat of UGX 100,000. The balance of UGX 83,000, I used for buying food.
