What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Since we are currently lacking a better house due to the fire that brought it down, we intent to rebuilt a better one using the transfer from Give Directly. Being enrolled in to this program came at the time of our need. God heard our prayers and opened our doors to rejuvenate of life once again.
What is the happiest part of your day?
After our house went down on fire 4 months ago, I felt hopeless because I lost everything. What brought joy is my neighbors who stood with us during this period. Our neighbors came to assist by giving us food, clothes and financial support for those who we able. I can't thank my neighbors enough for their unwavering support.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Living in a shanty in the last thing I could wish for someone to live in. In the last 4 months, our house got fire through an electric fault which razed the entire house. All our clothes including documents we not spared either. Lucky enough, no one was injured during the incident because no one was at home by then. This forced us to shift in a make shift house which is not adequate and not good for human to live in. Living in this make shift is the greatest challenge we are currently facing.
