Am a changed person from where i was before. I didn't know i would be like this, am better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly is doing very well, it has changed the well being of the community and changed people's lives. Many people have not remained the same.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have started a business for survival, i rented a house and put in a shop, i pay 400,000 per year and i have a working capital of 1500000. On average i sell 100,000 shillings per day. I paid school fees for my children, bought clothes for ourselves and also bought some meat for ourselves to eat. I saved some money from the previous transfer(token) which i topped up on my second transfer to start a business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means uplifting my household economic security. This will happen when I start a business to provide daily income for my household.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is lunch time especially when I get enough food for my family. This makes me a good mother who can feed members of her home.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of land for farming since my husband sold off all the family land to marry another wife. This has made it hard to get food for my family.
