How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different because of the land that I expanded using the money I received. I bought a piece of land that is now farmland. I just harvested maize that we use as food in my household. I have just planted beans that are doing well. Without this, I would not have space to produce enough food household.I, therefore, do not spend so much on buying foodstuffs because I produce more on the farm that GiveDirecl t helped me to buy.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In your opinion, GiveDirectly has nothing that can do better than the way they did. Their officers were very patient and very humble. We are still grateful for the way they approached our villages.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the second transfer on paying school fees for my children. I then used part of the money to pay for the land that I was buying. I was able to increase the parcel of land that is now part of my farm. Being a single mother, I needed to be able to stand on my own and acquire property for my children. This is why I decided t focus on acquiring the farm when I got the second transfer.
