How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am currently serving dual capacity as both man and woman because my husband is ill and unable to work. I am the only person striving to feed the home and send the children to school and life has not been so easy as anyone can imagine. My intial transfers were used to paid my children's tuition and my current goal is to improve the house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Having spent all the money on my husband's illness and no further assistance from anyone, it was Givedirectly who came to my rescue and today I am able to pay my children tuition with no hesitation. I am grateful to GiveDirectly for the help.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I intent to buy more bags of cements to improve my house and pay constructors to help me in the process. I will also purchase some household materials for the house upkeep which will be an added value to us as a family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was sweeping my yard and I heard my friends shouting "my people... Givedirectly na waste it ohhh"; I threw the broom one side and ran to my husband with excitement, telling him to go at the network area in order to check for ours. My husband and I ran like someone was chasing us, we got there and saw the money in our account. Oh My God!!, I was too happy. I danced and I danced; I even cried out of joy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before Givedirectly came, I was suffering. My husband was a driver but he got very sick so I am the only person helping my children now. Givedirectly put so much laughter on my face; my daily life is now filled with joy and happiness. My children wouldn't have been in school this year if not for Givedirectly; paying their fees is my biggest joy.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I paid two of my four children's fees in school plus their school materials. I also bought half bag of rice and few food items for my family's upkeep. The rest of the money went behind transportation.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money, I will use portion of it to for my kids tuation. My kids completed the elementary level school in Mecca. There is no Junior or Senior High School in this region. I sent my kids to Monrovia so they can complete their primary schooling. Since my kids moved to their aunty in Monrovia, I have not been able to make any real contributions to their schooling. So when I receive this money, I will use a portion of it for their tuation for the 2021/2022 academic year. Next, I will establish a dry goods business with the remaining money. This will help me to multiply the money. Currently my husband is unemployment. He was involved in a vehicles accident in 2015 and injured his leg. The injury was not properly treated due to lack of finance. As a result, he is unable to perform hard labor. So I will use the remaining of the money to establish a business so I can support the family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The coming of GD to our town makes me happy. Ever since GD started working in Suehn/Mecca District, we've been expecting them to also come to help us also. You passed through our village everyday to work in neighboring towns. Everyone around us have already received phone. We were beginning to loose hope. I am happy about GD because I am certain that your coming will help find solutions to our everyday problems.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The primary challenge we are faced with is to provide enough food for my family. My husband is currently unemployment. Due to his poor health, I am the only breadwinner for the family. The last farm I made did not yield anything substantial because I could not exercise full pest control.
