Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I was able to settle my son's school fees and I am in the process of plastering my house. Once the plaster is complete, I am expecting to sleep in a clean house free from dust. Before receiving this transfer, I didn't have enough money to plaster my house since most of the money I got from Agriculture went for paying school fees.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I learnt that I had received money from GiveDirectly, I became very happy because this money came at a time when my son was at home for school.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to Purchase 15 bags of cement at UGX 405,000, 2 trips of sand UGX 160,000 and paying school fees at UGX 300,000 and UGX 185,000. I have not yet spent UGX 650,000 but I intend to spend it for buying a cow.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to retrive the piece of land that I leased off some time back for the treatment of my son.
I also hope to take care of the education needs of my grand child.

I am happiest in the evening when I am seated with my children.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is paying school fees for my children.
All my children are in secondary schools but taking care of their needs is very hard.
My husband got another wife and he is too much into her so most of the time I struggle alone.
In most cases, he pays only up to half the total amount of fees then I have to cover for the balance.
I depend on agriculture to raise money.
Some times the weather does not favour crops and this affects me so much.
It affects my children as well because it sometimes involves them not attending school.
