Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received the transfer I was so excited I couldn't believe my eyes and I literally jumped up and down for a couple of minutes.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
All along I have been sleeping on a mat but now I bought a Matress that I'm now sleeping on,and thats a big change for me,we used to sleep with empty stomach but now that is history since we now have adequate food,my child is now accessing school easily since he doesn't walk long distances any more because of the biycle i bought using GD money and I'm really grateful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have a house but i failed to finish some other things that i was suppose to finish,so as soon as I got the transfer i bought 4 bags of cement and doors just because i wanted to plaster my house,I also bought 2 bags of fertiliser for my maize farm,i also bought 3 bags of maize for my household,I used the remaining money to buy education materials for my child and a biycle for my child as well,I did this because my child use to walk a long distance to attend school but once I got the transfer i knew I had to get him a biycle for easy transportation and I'm so happy that he now goes to school easily. 4 bags of cement, for renovating,3 bags of maize.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Well, I will use this money to buy food, mattress, and school uniforms for my children. I have been struggling to have such things because I cannot earn enough money. This cash therefore is a timely assistance from your organisation, GIVEDIRECTLY. Iam thankful to GD for this money.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Iam happiest in the evening because it is when we eat as a family. After spending the day looking for food, we do usually eat in the evening at supper.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Most of times we lack food for survival because we do not harvest enough. This is so as we cannot afford to buy fertilizer.
