How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Nowadays, have a source of income from the sale of milk which came out of the cow that was bought. The milk is also food to my children hence I would not spend most of the money in procurement of milk for family use.
Also, I wouldn't have bought bulls had it not for transfers from GiveDirectly. Whenever I see them, I feel very happy.
The farm that I bought is also an additional source of income. With this farm, I will be planting alot more crops, maize essentially since this is our main source of food which staple in the fegion.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD does not do anything wrong. Actually all the good things are attributed to this organization. Giving us unconditional cash for our own use is something that we are all proud of.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
When the transfers came, I spent good part of it in buying two cows which have since multipled. The main reason which drove me to doing this is that, I have been having thia as a wish but I never had enougj capital to realoze it.
I also saw the need to add more acres of land with the transfers. The money came at a time which I needed these money.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am very excited at the prospect of getting this cash transfer. My dream of being a dairy farmer is about to become a reality. Thank you very much GD.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when am back from my casual job and carrying with me foodstuffs for my family to take for supper.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
During the birth of my first born child, there were some complications on the side of my wife. This required urgent and delicate medical attention and I incurred alot of medical expenses which I was unable to pay. This prompted me to seek assistance from well-wishers and to some extend sell some of my already limited assets in order to clear the bill. For me, this is the biggest hardship I have ever experienced.
