How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because, l am now sitting on a very nice comfortable furniture as compared to before when sitting on a water container.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have a new goal a part from plastering my house to look like other people's.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, l am now sitting in a very comfortable furniture as compared to before when l was sitting on a water container. I am also very sure of staying in a nice plastered house because, l have manage to buy plastering materials which l am planning to plaster my house very soon.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months l expect to have completed plastering my house and staying in it.

Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
Yes I have a new goal of acquiring a house, something I knew could not happen if I were the one initiating it alone.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I am able to feed my family well with a lot of ease. I have also managed to secure myself from the daily quarrel I had from the neighbors whenever my children stepped into their compounds to watch their television.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have my own motorcycle that will be able to generate me enough income to feed my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving my payments is that I have managed to acquire my own Television that has made life so enjoyable in my family. I no longer stay home till late waiting to watch news in the shops along the streets.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in life is lack of money to built my own house. Begging for spaces to sleep in other people's houses was not very friendly as this would be denied at times and hence spend the night in the cold.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I get some money from motorcycle taxi operation and buy food for my family.The essence of being responsible to my family makes me happy.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend the transfer in renovating my house. It has always been my wish to plaster the walls and the floor. I hope this will prevent breeding of jiggers.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is building my own home. Initially I used to beg for sleeping space in other people's houses that I was sometimes denied. I feel happy and proud enjoying this freedom.
