What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on renting land for growing sugarcane. I did this as an investment from which I will earn income in the future.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I would be in a bad condition since i had no stable source of income however my life is different because i made an investment into sugarcane growing and as a result I am assured of income in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GD does well by giving us money and letting us decide how to use it.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
On land and a cow! I spent my second transfer on a plot of land because I did not have land yet I needed it and have place where I can have my own house and do farming for the betterment of my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Being able to own land with unconditional cash transfers from GiveDirectly is the biggest difference in my daily life. I am excited.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
Yes, school fees, food and hired land for farming! I used my first transfer to pay school fees for my 4 children. I also bought food for my family and hired land for farming. I am happy.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I saw a mobile money message on my phone in the morning and it was money from GiveDirectly, I had to bounce for a moment because I was extremely happy.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on starting up a business like selling clothes. Secondly pay school fees for my children and lastly rent land for farming.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest is my father who allowed me to be stay with him after the marriage did not work out.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life was during my former marriage where my ex husband abandoned us which forced me to come back and sit at home because we were suffering. This still hurts me up to now because till now there is no support coming from my ex husband to the children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening conversing with my children after school.
