Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to finish building my new house by plastering the floor using cement. Once this is done, it will be ready for use.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before we started receiving these transfers, I used to buy and hawk around charcoal using my donkey. Charcoal is prohibited and since it leads to the destruction of forest cover and this led to sometimes being caught on the wrong side of the law. When I started receiving these transfers, I decided to leave this risky business and venture into farming. I was able to farm my idle piece of land and I currently have some beans that will soon be ready for harvesting. I also bought some sheep using the transfer received. I am grateful that since I started receiving the transfers, I have grown in terms of assets and farm activities.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to be financially stable. This is possible through improving my farming practice and maximizing the use of my farm. Being financially stable will allow me to meet my family's daily needs such as food and other school requirements. This will improve our welfare and ensure that my children are happy. Being financially stable also improves confidence and earns one respect and these are qualities that I earn now that I am elder.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because now my family can now sleep peacefully at night. This is after I managed to complete my house. In the past, we have been sleeping in an incomplete house. My subsistence farming has not been doing well due to droughts yet this is my only source of income. The meager income has delayed the completion of my house as this was the only income I have. From the transfers, we managed to save some money used to complete our house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to buy a goat in the next four months. We shall rear this goat so as in the near future we sell it and use the money to buy something else also or pay school fees for my grandchildren.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the past four months preceding the current transfer is being able to provide food for my family. The past months our area have been affected by drought thus we harvest little from my subsistence farming. Using this transfer has enable me to purchase food. This makes me happy because I have not failed to provide basic needs for my family as a household head.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I am planning to buy a dairy cow in the next six months which will provide us with milk. We have started saving from the transfers and in case the money is not enough we shall sell the goats we have to raise it. Having this dairy cow will enable me to sell the extra milk production thus increasing my income.
